Shubman Gill crosses 4000 international runs milestone | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Indian cricket sensation Shubman Gill reached a significant milestone, amassing 4000 international runs during his sublime innings of 110 against England in the fifth Test match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Friday.
Gill made his debut for the Indian cricket team in the One Day International (ODI) format against New Zealand in 2019.Since then, he has featured in 44 ODIs, accumulating 2271 runs at an impressive strike rate of 103.46.
The 24-year-old received his maiden Test cap against Australia in 2020, embarking on a journey that saw him play 25 matches and 46 innings, resulting in 1492 runs.

Additionally, Gill made his debut in Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket in 2023 against Sri Lanka, featuring in 14 20-over matches and tallying 335 runs at a remarkable strike rate of 147.58.
With his latest innings, Gill’s international run tally stands at 4098 runs, showcasing his remarkable consistency and skill across formats.
In the ongoing fifth Test match against England in Dharamshala, Gill exhibited his batting prowess with a splendid knock of 110, striking 12 fours and 5 sixes off 150 deliveries before being dismissed by James Anderson in the 63rd over of the match’s second session.
